I recently started teaching some yoga classes at Cocoon, a beautiful eco-yoga space. I can wholeheartedly say that it has been a great and meaningul experience. Working with various types of people one-on-one and approaching each one personally is what I enjoy a lot. One of my students has lent me a book called Living Your Yoga that I've been reading through each night before going to sleep. I came across a chapter talking about "Control". It is in a human nature to have a tendency to control things. And not only having control over ourselves but also over our friends, family, colleagues, our loved ones, our students. When teaching I like to think I am leading the students through their practice rather then controlling it. Sometimes being a silent observer, allowing them to spend time within themselves during the practice. I like the saying at the end of the chapter which says:
